To help promote the FIRST AVENGER movie, which looked like it might get lost in the shadow of the last Harry Potter movie released the week before, a sneak preview of the movie was announced for 2011's San Diego Comic-Con at Horton Plaza with it showing all day & night a day earlier than the official release on Friday, July 22nd (The Visa Signature opening in New York and the Red, White, & Blue Carpet Premiere in Los Angeles happened a couple days earlier though).
The first showing at 10am would have Chris Evans introducing the film, have swag, and would be free. In case people did not see the event announced on the internet, flyers were handed out the day before the event. I've seen two or three different versions of the flyer but this one was on red paper. However, it did NOT guarantee a ticket but was used to redeem for two tickets at the box office....if there were any left. And yes, they went quick.
