The First Avenger Movie

While at the San Diego Comic-Con this year, they released the CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER movie a day early. The first showing of the day at 10am was FREE and lead actor Chris Evans was there to introduce the film. Apparently, people were lining up at the Horton Plaza location as early as 3am.

While I could only get into the next showing at noon, we did see Chris Evans in the lobby giving interviews.

Blair Butler of G4 was also there doing interviews along with some spots with a Cap Cosplayer for G4's coverage.

The fans were into it with many dressed up in costume.

Also on hand were the USO Girls who were handing out free swag.

There was also a lot of promotion going on for the movie including billboards, plane banners, bus advertising, and promotion for the Super Soldier video game.

The movie itself was very good. The crowd was into it with some in costume. The kids in the audience seems to like it. This was certainly the best Cap we've been able to get up on the screen or on TV. Chris Evans did a fine job giving the character a little sadness, something that the comics never really conveyed. Tommy Lee Jones has all the best lines. Hayley Atwell was stunningly gorgeous! Stan's cameo was great. And the Red Skull's make up was very well done. Stepping back from my Cap Bias, it isn't a great movie but very very good. But as a Cap fan, I'm very very happy.
